Well, in about two weeks I will be the BIG 40. Yes, that is right, I will no longer be in my 30's. Officially on February 6th, I will be 40.
Gone are the days of checking the 2nd or so box off in a census. I will now have to look for the one with the 40+ age bracket. That kinda sucks.
I am not really sad about it, just a tad sarcastic. And anyone who knows me personally would take "tad" and roll around on the floor laughing. I have never been one to be a "tad" bit anything. And when I am sarcastic, I generally have to be over the top sarcastic. So maybe I am mellowing as I age.
If my 40's are anything like my 30's I will love it. I really enjoyed the 30's more than my 20's to be honest.
The only current highlight so far that I have to look forward to celebrating my 40th is with an appointment for a mammogram. Nothing like a good breast squishing to ring in a new year. But, as long as it is still available to me and some silly politician hasn't taken it away, gosh darn it, I will get one. Everyone should, and actually I believe people should be getting them on a regular basis before they hit 40!
So does anyone have some words of wisdom to impart as I make my way to the newest milestone? Any comical events to make me laugh?
I will let you know if anything monumental happens on that day! xoxo
